  1. Hello Gerrie. Unfortunately, you can request your personal criminal records, but you will need to pay for them.
You will find various sites on the web that offer “free criminal checks” and such, but there is massive erroneous information since it is taken from public records and cant be relied upon.
The only method that is guaranteed to be correct would be to stop at your local police or sheriff’s department and request a BCI check ( this is a state wide check of all criminal activity). The cost is usually about $18 to $20.
If you want a more comprehensive report, stop in at your local State Police barracks and request an NCIC (Federal) check. This will show all criminal activity throughout the entire USA. This is a standard fee of $68.
In both situations, you will need to sign a release form and be fingerprinted ( which each department will do for you).
Best of luck and I hope this is useful to you
