i searched google for public criminal records but they all cost money. does anyone know of a site where i can see criminal records without having to pay or do anything??.

Your local courthouse. If you are interested in sex crimes, those are on the web.

For free, check out http://www. crimcheck. com , they have an extensive free public records section.
For your money, I would recomend http://www. easybackgroundchecks. com , they offer statewide background checks for $15. They all offer nationwide background checks for ~$25 I believe.

The courthouse in my city has computers in the clerks office where you can search public records for free. So you might want to check your local courthouse.
