I am a single mother, so I don’t get out much. I’m trying to use online dating, but it’s so hard to trust people. I need a way to check on marriage, divorce, and obviously criminal records of guys I’m interested in. I know there are a lot of sites out there, but I can’t find any that are free. I wouldn’t even mind paying for the info if I knew the site was reliable. Can anybody help me? I’ve searched and searched. I need some info on somebody in Grand Rapids, and I can’t find what I’m looking for. If you have any ideas, I would be happy to hear them. Thank you!

call a court house in the area, they will usually give you a website that you can search to find the records you need.

I’m a collector. I have to find debtors all the time. There is a site that you can get background checks and such on people. it’s not free, but it’s fairly thorough. www. accurint. com. But tell me, what is it about him that makes you want to dig into his personal life and background? I know that even though I’m clean, I would take offense if a woman thought that I have something to hide. It’s like being violated. Have you been hurt in the past? Lied to? It sounds like it. I wish you luck but I wish him even more luck because it sounds like you’re too suspicious and untrusting. Relax some. If you want to know about him, ask him. Look at his reactions. But gees hon, you’re one step away from hiring a detective and if I were him, and I knew you did this search and probing into my personal life, I would not want to continue any type of relationship with you. I would always think that you’re watching me and “stalking me”. You need to learn to trust a little more. Don’t walk in life with “blinders” but lighten up.
