I was wondering if there are any websites where i can get a free criminal record search without having to pay for membership, shipping, etc. . . thanks!!!

I notice the other answers say no, but dont offer any reasons why.
The reason you do not get free criminal searches is because of the time and resource it takes to gather and catalog the records.
You see, criminal records are held at the county level. There si no national criminal search. Instead, these website databases spend thousands of dollars to gather these records and catalog them.
You can do a free criminal search, but you have to visit every courthouse in every county the person lived. Or, you could just pay the small fee for the convenience and ACCURACY of it all.

Sorry but no. . You might find one for around 35 dollars but none cheaper than that.
